New Year, New Goals
Hello Everyone!
I know I haven't made a post in such a long time. Things got crazy with the holidays and some unexpected home problems. My apartment ended up having a leak in the ceiling which caused a huge hole in the ceiling and it sat that way for a month but was finally fixed this week!!
With the new year I know a lot of people make a list of resolutions that they hope to keep throughout the year. This is a great practice but if we are honest most people give up two months into the year. (Me included). So this year I have decided to instead of resolutions) because let's be honest it is crazy to think that just because there is a new date on the calendar that I am going to change a huge thing about my life and stick with it) I have decided to make goals. I know this sounds like it is the same thing but for me a resolution is a huge change that seems unattainable. But if I make goals I can make them smaller and more manageable for myself.
I also decided to keep the goals list short.
One of my goals is to take a Saturday each month and focus specifically on writing. This will include my blog which will become a monthly publication instead of a weekly. I will also be working on submitting to publishers for my first book, "Second Chances" and writing my second book, "Lightning Never Strikes Twice." I would also love to start writing for some publications so I will be doing research to find the right one's and pitching them.
I also have goals surrounding my finances, line dancing, and the amount of books I want to read this year. I am excited to see what God has for me in this new year and the blessings that will happen.
Another goal for the new year is to focus on the positive instead of the negative. So often my mind is consumed with the negative that has happened (such as there being a hole in my ceiling) but in every situation there is a positive. Every situation is used for God's plan and His good.
Whatever you have planned for the new year I pray that you are successful .
Much love,
Victoria
