Victoria ColeI have loved writing since I was a kid. I would make up and write up stories all the time.
Then life happened and I didn’t write anything for close to twenty years. In 2022, I started writing a story just to deal with my anxiety. A few months later, Karen Kingsbury held a writing intensive and I knew I had to attend. Attending the conference and being around like minded people jump-started a passion I had forgotten about for way too long.
Now, I have been steadily writing for the past four years. The journey hasn’t always been easy and there have been times where my sister and my friends have believed in me more than I have believed in myself. Over the last year, I have grown in my faith exponentially and I have finally trusted God with my writing goals. Let me tell you, it’s a lot easier to believe in myself when God is guiding the process. Through the Southern Christian Writers Conference, I have been able to place in several writing contests, publish magazine articles in Anchored Magazine, and will soon have a published novella.
I fell in love with romance stories as a teenager, and still love them. It only makes sense that I write Christian romance. There is something special that happens with God in the center of a love story, and that is what I want to show in everything that I write. I believe everything that I write comes from God. His ideas that I put on paper. My goal in my writing is to show God and all His amazing attributes, surrounded by a love story.
