But God
Hello All,
In several conversations I have had recently, the same phrase has come up and I can’t help but to dwell on it. What is the phrase?
BUT GOD!
But God…two simple words, so much meaning.
Even when everything seems to be going wrong, we can still rely on God. In my life recently, I have been having to deal with a lot of work issues that have really been stressful, that have made me wonder if I need to leave, made me dread walking into work…But God.
Now most days, I will admit, I forget those two little words and try to handle the situation in my own knowledge and power. Luckily I have friends around me that God has placed there to be my support and have reminded me of these two simple words.
I have also had to deal with reiterating and tightening my boundaries with someone in my life. The whole process is painful…But God. God wants us to use boundaries to protect ourselves, to fully live in Him. As I had this boundary conversation, I had to remind myself that this is what God wants for my life. He had saved me from this relationship escalating to somewhere it doesn’t need to be. Thank God!
One friend I spoke with has been having setback after setback as he moves…But God!
Another has serious, continuous health issues…But God!
These two words have the power to change my entire perspective about life. I have always been a person who overthinks, and gravitates towards the negative of each situation. As my mother says, I “what if” a situation to death. When things look bleak, I can remember these two simple words, and remember that God is over every situation. When I can’t figure out why I am going through suffering and hardship, But God. God has a plan.
Psalm 73:26- “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”
Matthew 19:26- “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
BUT GOD! This is not just a feel good phrase, it is Biblical truth. God transcends any earthly problem we will encounter. And there is much joy in that thought.
Much love,
Victoria
